SaxTrust: Der sächsische Nukleus für das globale Trustnet
In einer digitalen Welt voller Fake-News, Datendiebstahl und Cyber-Betrug ebnet SaxTrust den Weg für ein sicheres Internet. Dieses innovative Forschungsprojekt wird von KAPRION Technologies GmbH, SQL Projekt AG und der HTW Dresden im Rahmen des InnoTeam-Programms der SAB realisiert.
Das Ziel: die Entwicklung eines Trustnets – einer neuen Evolutionsstufe des Internets. Das Trustnet schafft einen rechtssicheren digitalen Raum, der mit verifizierbaren Identitäten und digitalen Nachweisen (Verifiable Credentials) Interaktionen zuverlässig absichert.

What are credentials?
“Credentials” are proofs and authorizations of a person and are displayed as small cards in the IDealWALLET.
They include a public key as the receiving address and a private key for transaction signatures.
It is extremely important to ensure the security of these credentials! Therefore, credentials should always be kept secret and protected by secure storage methods, such as hardware cryptography, in wallets.

Secure thanks to cryptographic keys
In a crypto wallet, a chain of trust is established through the secure generation and storage of keys and cryptographic signatures. User authentication and transaction signatures are ensured by private keys, while public keys are used for verification. By securely handling these keys, trust in the integrity and security of the wallet is established and maintained.

Build trust
For example, if the user already has a Sparkasse credential and you trust the Sparkasse, you can use this credential directly for the SEPA direct debit mandate.
If, for example, the user has a subscription card from a transport company that you trust, then use this credential to register for your Car-Sharing. Mutual trust and thus avoid duplicate processes and registrations.

You can display your proofs and authorizations as a QR code for a check by simply clicking on the individual credentials. You can also scan the displayed QR code at the test device and thus establish a direct connection with the test device.
With IDealWALLET, a direct connection means that no servers are required for this and the check is carried out offline.

Credentials can be verified using a QR code as a deep link. The QR code contains a link to the backend system and therefore the required information, such as public keys. The wallet app processes this information to confirm the user's identity and authorizations. This method facilitates the secure and efficient verification of credentials.

Project ID-Ideal: Management of digital identities
Our vision: Legal certainty in the digital space through easy-to-use digital identities.
Mission: Development, application and dissemination of a framework for secure digital identities of persons, organizations and objects.
Target image:
- An ecosystem of issuers, holders and acceptance points is created in which actors can use their digital credentials to create trust across the boundaries of previously isolated trust domains.
- To this end, they can choose from a variety of compatible ID services that best meet their needs and transfer data between services. In this way, we are helping to stimulate innovation and value creation through the use of digital identities in business, administration and society.
In the Urban Mobility application scenario, KAPRION is developing a universally applicable, hardware-cryptographically supported solution for the secure mapping of usage authorizations for various mobility providers in mobile devices. The practical application is being tested in two field tests in the Dresden and Leipzig regions.
